Microsoft IT Support Technician
Bowman Williams Consulting is seeking a Microsoft IT Support Technician with experience in an MSP environment for a position in Washington, DC. Description:
The ideal candidate for this position would be able to contribute to their team with the following skills:
- Demonstrable ability with Microsoft system, application, security, and network configurations
- Recommending new technologies and hardware and software solutions to clients.
- Testing and evaluating network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements
- Determining which products or services best fit client needs, and making proactive client recommendations for hardware and software.
- Recommending and building systems and efficiencies for end-user and overall client site support both remotely and on-site
- Providing support for Help Desk Technicians, clients and other team members
- Local travel to client sites required as needed.
- Providing Help Desk support services to clients for all hardware, software, network infrastructure, phone/VOIP systems, internet connectivity, email, etc. Support services will be provided both in person and by phone.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong ability to prepare and organize necessary paperwork and records.
- Strong commitment to excellent customer service.
- Extensive experience in troubleshooting problems and implementing solutions on an individual basis and as part of a team.
- Up to date skills in all aspects of the Microsoft Windows operating system including installation, management, application deployment, and security as well as Exchange (2003/2007), and working knowledge of MS Server 2003/2008.
Requirements:
This position requires 3 – 5 years of experience. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience may suffice. MCSE Certification preferred.
Salary: $60,000 – $80,000
