The IT System Support Technician (Tier 2) – MSP will split their time between desktop support and server systems (email, light virtualization, etc. They will also be supporting senior engineers on projects/deployments. The IT System Support Technician (Tier 2) – MSP will be able to gain hands-on experience from senior engineers and can grow into a senior engineer within a given time.
IT System Support Technician (Tier 2) – MSP Do?:
- Support and experience working with Cloud products: (Office 365, OneDrive, Azure).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Platforms.
- Support of disaster recovery solutions. (Datto)
- Configuring, Installing and Supporting routers, firewalls, switches & servers (VLAN, SonicWall)
- Knowledge of VMware/Hyper-V (creating new virtual machines, changing resource allocations, etc.)
- Experience configuring VoIP systems.
