The daily life of the AWS Engineer will consist of close support work with a variety of small business and organization IT environments. You’ll gain a deep knowledge of small enterprise IT, everything from networking to systems, and on up to security. Our clients are utilizing all of these technologies and you will be right in the thick of things. Whether troubleshooting missing email or verifying the feasibility of a disaster recovery plan, you will see and touch the things that matter for your own and our client’s growth.
What should you be bringing to the table? Besides a smile and true grit, you’ll need:
- 2 to 5 years of Windows domain Support. Mac experience is also helpful, as is mobile device support. To be relevant, this needs to be commercial level IT Support of a business environment.
- 1+ years of Microsoft Server Support, preferably with Azure and AWS hybrid and public implementations.
- 1+ years of networking experience. You don’t need to be a routing expert, but you should understand the difference between WEP and WPA. Terms like VPN and LAN should be a part of your vocabulary.
- MSP or outsourced IT experience. If you have previous experience at an IT Consulting company or MSP, congratulations! You’ve just made it to the front of the line.
