Position Overview:
As an Senior IT Cloud Administrator – MSP you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and supporting our clients’ IT infrastructure. You will focus on cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure, and virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V. You will also be responsible for configuring and managing firewalls, ensuring robust network security. This role requires not only strong technical expertise but also a consultative approach, as you will be advising clients on the best solutions to meet their unique needs.
Senior IT Cloud Administrator – MSP Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage virtualization environments using VMware or Hyper-V.
- Implement, configure, and maintain cloud solutions, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and other network security measures to protect client environments.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting for escalated issues related to virtualization, cloud infrastructure, and network security.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their IT needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Lead and participate in IT projects, including migrations, upgrades, and new deployments.
- Maintain thorough documentation of systems, configurations, and client environments.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to provide proactive recommendations.
Senior IT Cloud Administrator – MSP Experience:
- 3+ years of experience within an MSP environment.
- Do you live in NW, West, or SW Houston? This is a key requirement for the position, as it is open only to candidates based in Houston, TX. The role is primarily remote, but local residency is essential.
- Experience with VMware or Hyper-V, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, including virtual networks, VMs, and storage solutions.
- Solid understanding of firewall configurations, VPNs, and network security best practices.
- Excellent consultative skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to clients in a clear and understandable manner.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for staying current with emerging technologies.
