Senior System Engineer – Hybrid Work Model Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the design and deployment of IT infrastructures, encompassing cloud solutions, virtualization technologies (such as VMware and Hyper-V), and network architecture.
- Administer and enhance cloud environments with a focus on Microsoft Azure or other leading cloud platforms.
- Implement, configure, and troubleshoot advanced firewall and network security measures to safeguard client systems.
- Deliver expert-level support for complex technical issues, ensuring prompt and efficient resolution.
- Partner with clients to assess their IT needs and deliver strategic, consultative solutions tailored to their requirements.
- Manage IT projects from initiation to completion, including migrations, system upgrades, and new installations.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, modifications, and client environments.
- Keep abreast of the latest industry developments and emerging technologies to offer cutting-edge solutions and insights.
Senior System Engineer – Hybrid Work Model Requirements:
- Experience working for an Managed Service Provider (MSP)
- Proficiency with VMware (including vCenter and multi-host setups) and virtualization technologies (VMware or Hyper-V)
- Strong background in server configurations, storage solutions, network routing and switching
- Expertise in Windows Server (2012/2016/2019), Exchange Server (2013/2016/2019), and Active Directory with Group Policy administration
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based technologies
- Knowledge of Cisco Duo for identity and access management, and security awareness tools like KnowBe4
- Familiarity with backup solutions (Veeam, Datto, Syncrify) and SQL Server (2012, 2014, 2016, 2019)
- Skills in managing firewalls and switches (Cisco, Fortinet, HP, Meraki)
- Proficiency in Windows 7 and later, MS Office (2013/2016/2019), and O365/M365
- Experience with security and antivirus products (TrendMicro, ESET, Symantec) and spam filtering technologies (Barracuda, O365)
Senior System Engineer – Hybrid Work Model Salary & Benefits:
- Salary $110,000 to $120,000
