System Engineer – (Projects Team) MSP

We are currently seeking a System Engineer – (Projects Team) MSP to be part of a growing MSP. The System Engineer – (Projects Team) MSP will provide day-to-day support to clients implementing projects and deploying new technologies. The System Engineer will responsible for modernizing infrastructures, accessing, and building out networks, and providing escalated support.

System Engineer – (Projects Team) MSP Duties:

  • Take a lead role as the technical expert for all infrastructure-related outages, failures, and problems
  • Implementing network software and hardware upgrades (Cisco Meraki; SonicWall)
  • Provide top-notch technical support in your areas of subject matter expertise (storage, virtualization, Windows OS).
  • Identify and drive opportunities to automate repeatable networking tasks including through the creation and maintenance of scripts and tools.
  • Support end-users in a help desk and on-site environment, resolving hardware/software issues
  • Configure servers and other key components in Azure
  • Data backup and recovery solutions (Acronis, Datto, etc…)
  • Coach Tier 2 and Tier 1 engineer on technical decision-making and ticket curation.

System Engineer – (Projects Team) MSP Requirements: 

  • 5+ years of proven experience in system administration, preferably within an MSP environment.
  • Firewall Configuration and Deployment experience
  • Strong technical support background in storage, virtualization, and Windows OS.
  • Hands-on configuration and management of servers in Azure environments.
  • Extensive experience working with VMware and/or Hyper-V virtualization platforms.
  • Experience working on M365 Migrations projects
