MSP System Administrator (Tier II) Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for documenting and maintaining technical aspects of the clients’ environment: network, systems, and security.
- Create new and update existing standards, as technology is constantly evolving.
- Audit environments based on best IT standards and perform alignment tasks to enhance client relationships.
- Identify technology risks and recommend changes.
- Roll out IT Tools to client environments in a consistent manner, based on best practices.
- Work with network infrastructure to insure secure, seamless connections
- Assist with escalated end-user support on an as-needed basis.
- Obtain relevant certifications based on the Certification Path identified by your Team and Department Lead.
MSP System Administrator (Tier II) Requirements:
- Minimum 2 year’s experience in an MSP
- Administration and support skills within the Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
- Administration and support of TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, SDWAN, Access Points, Routers, and Switches (SonicWall, Cisco/Meraki, Palo Alto, etc.)
- General understanding of small business IT systems and a passion for helping people improve their productivity
- A desire to grow in automation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to look at service delivery through the lens of efficiency – have the ability to understand how to look at Proactive processes to determine ways to become more efficient
- Detailed oriented with strong documentation skills
