Senior System Administrator (Partial WFH) Overview:

Our Managed Services Provider (MSP) located in Houston, TX, is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team and contribute to the success of our clients’ technology environments. As an MSP, we specialize in offering comprehensive IT services to businesses of all sizes, ensuring their systems operate seamlessly and securely. We are offering full Health/Dental/Vision, partial WFH schedule (3 days home), bonuses every 6 months, certification reimbursement, ongoing paid training, and room to grow internally!

The Senior System Administrator (Partial WFH) will be responsible for 3 major areas of IT Service Delivery. The first area is the support and administration of servers, Microsoft 365, Azure, virtual environments, storage, security and Backup Disaster Recovery (BDR) infrastructure both in-premise and cloud-based solutions. The second is handling of escalations and advanced support of service requests, beyond the abilities of the higher tier Service Desk Technicians. The third is assisting the project and technical alignment teams with implementation of servers, Microsoft 365, Azure storage, and BDR infrastructure projects both in-premise and cloud-based solutions.

We are only considering Senior System Administrator (Partial WFH) applicants with a background working for a MSP or CSP.

Senior System Administrator (Partial WFH) Responsibilities:

Support services for Microsoft related technologies: Microsoft 365, Teams, Azure, SharePoint, Windows Server, SQL etc.
Support services for virtualization technologies: VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft
IT Support relating to issues with the internal systems and network infrastructure.
Technical services and support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security
Administer hosted and cloud solutions for customers using technologies that meet their requirements.
Advanced support and implementation of our backup and disaster recovery solutions
Remote access solution support: VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix
Monitor the remote monitoring and management system alerts and notifications and respond accordingly through service tickets.
Administration and maintenance of the remote monitoring and management system: update agent scripts, respond to alerts, monitor dashboard, and periodic system review.
Document maintenance for all computer systems and network infrastructure
Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages.
