Service Engineer Tier 3 – Projects & Escalations
We are currently seeking a Tier 3 Service Engineer to join the Client Onboarding & Managed Services Team in .
The Service Engineer should be technically between Tier 2-3 experience (meaning, regularly working on servers, escalated tickets, virtualization and autonomous deployments of client networks). The Service Engineer will be working in both a support and projects capacity, supporting Windows Server (A/D, Group Policy) environments, able to migrate O365 and possess the communication level to roadmap technology solutions and services for the small-to-midsize business market in the Greater Chicago Area. Service Engineer will support migrations to the cloud (Windows, 365, VMware, Citrix) for small to mid-size companies. The Service Engineer will be part of a team of engineers providing IT solutions across the globe and has grown from two million to five million in sales in less than three years. Also ranked by the Business Journal as one of the best places to work in 2018.
The Systems Engineer will be provided a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 – $95,000, This also includes $2,500 stipend each year for training and certifications, health benefits and a retirement matched investment account. Profit sharing for employees with 3+ years tenure.
Service Engineer Tier 3 – Projects & Escalations Desired Skills:
This opportunity provides a work environment that keeps the work day interesting and stimulating. The ideal Service Engineer Tier 3 candidate for this position will have 3-5+ years of experience deploying and supporting of SMB environments: servers (Windows), networking (SonicWall and Cisco on the G.U.I) and VMware or Hyper-V, Citrix, VDI and XenDesktop. We will take care of the rest helping you develop the skills to grow from a Systems Engineer Tier 3 to a purely Projects, Project Management, C-Level Manager or vCIO career track.
The Service Engineer (Tier 3) will be working on 1-2 new client projects at a time, local travel only (20 mile radius). Excellent customer service skills and a desire to increase knowledge of cloud technology, virtualization and networks for small-to-medium business solutions. We are looking for someone with experience in the following technologies:
- Windows (Active Directory and Group Policy creation) VMware and Cloud Technologies
- Office 365, Public cloud experience (Azure and AWS desired)
- VMware ESXi or Hyper-V, P2V migrations , Citrix, VDI or XenApp/XenDesktop
- Administration with Cloud migrations of Windows Server 2012 R2 and 2016
- Cisco Small Business certified – Switching/Routing/VPN intermediate knowledge
- Labtech RMM /ConnectWise PSA experience strongly desired
Service Engineers possessing Cloud or Managed Service Provider Industry Experience are strongly preferred, but on-the-job experience can be substituted for certifications.
