Solutions Engineer – Hybrid Workplace

As a Solutions Engineer – Hybrid Workplace, you will be responsible for executing technical projects, conducting technical environment assessments, and aiding in client onboarding and documentation preparation for service desk usage. This role includes handling escalations from service desk engineers, solving those escalations, and ensuring prompt solution delivery to affected clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, meticulous planning abilities, and technical expertise to execute projects from initiation to completion.

Solutions Engineer – Hybrid Workplace Responsibilities:

Execute server, cloud, and system setup/configurations assigned
Administer and support client workstations, Windows servers, and other network infrastructure such as switches, firewalls, WAP’s, VPN, printers, and more
Handle escalations from Service Desk as required
Provide timely updates to clients and internal teams regarding project status
Build & Administration of VMware
Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, provide technical advice, and ensure project objectives are met
Manage and troubleshoot network issues, including routing, switching, and firewall configurations
Administer Active Directory services and user accounts

Solutions Engineer – Hybrid Workplace Requirements:

Proficiency in implementing Public Cloud solutions including Microsoft Azure
Experience with Virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Hyper-V
Proficiency in Windows-based server configuration and implementation (Domain Controller, DHCP, DNS, Fileservers)
Experience with Microsoft Servers, including setup of Microsoft Domains and O/S upgrades –
Proficiency in Firewall Setup and Implementation, WAN & LAN Policies, NAT Rules
Networking expertise, including VLAN configuration and advanced switch configurations
