The System Administrator 2.5 – Managed Service Provider will support medium size businesses. You will gain exposure to emerging virtualization and cloud technologies and grow beyond essential desktop support. This role will promote internal growth within the company to more senior roles.

System Administrator 2.5 – Managed Service Provider Experience/Duties:

Network Administration:
•Provide desktop and server support at hardware, operating system and application levels.
•Get involved on supporting all portfolio of services (Hosted VoIP, Hosted Exchange, Document management and print management solutions, Security services, etc.)
•Administration of different backup platforms and troubleshooting issues, including Datto, Symantec, Windows, iBackup, Acronis, Carbonite, Etc.
•Perform and monitor maintenance tasks at the desktop and server levels, including disk checks, expanding server volumes, adjusting resources on virtual machines on both VMware and Hyper-V hypervisors, application of service packs and other updates.
•Perform mailbox migrations to Microsoft Office 365.
•Perform software installations and upgrades.
•Perform firmware and other updates on network devices, maintaining backup configurations.
•Contact ISP and other third-party vendors as needed during troubleshooting of client issues.

Systems Administration:
•Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
•Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
•Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
•Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
•Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions

System Administrator 2.5 – Managed Service Provider Salary / Benefits:
