System Administrator (MSP) Overview:

We are a IT Managed Services Provider with a national presence that is headquartered in The Woodlands, TX. We offer a variety of managed services including; backup solutions, 24/7 support and monitoring, a variety of e-mail solutions, as well as network infrastructure design, server and PC servicing. Our mission is to provide comprehensive solutions by combining the latest technology advancements with a multi-layered infrastructure design.

We recently acquired another MSP and are looking for a System Administrator (MSP) to help us support our new clients. This is a highly collaborative environment, allowing the System Administrator (MSP) to work alongside Network Administrators, Sr Engineers, and even mentor Jr technicians.

The System Administrator (MSP) position requires previous experience working for a Managed Services Provider.

System Administrator (MSP) Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 1 year of MSP experience
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), including advanced Excel formula usage and the use of pivot tables.
  • Experience with Virtual Servers, RDS, and Horizon
  • Strong background in QuickBooks and CCH Access
  • Practice Management or other financial accounting software applications are preferred
  • Experience working with 3rd party vendors like Thompson Reuters and/or Wolters Kluwer highly preferred
  • Hardware and software installation, including new PC setup from scratch or drive cloning.
  • Troubleshoot hardware: Desktop, laptops, printers, scanners, phones, etc.
  • Knowledge of remote troubleshooting technologies (RDP, VNC, Telnet, etc.).
  • In-depth knowledge of Active Directory GPO support and domain administration.
  • Intermediate level networking understanding, subsets, VLANs, routes.
  • In addition to technical aptitude, one must be highly effective in working objectively with a diverse group of people and must demonstrate communication, organizational, administrative, and office skills.
