Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Systems Engineer to join our growing team. This role is designed for experienced professionals who excel in providing advanced technical support and infrastructure management. You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our clients, driving technical projects, and ensuring robust IT systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-level remote and onsite support, focusing on server and system/network administration.
- Lead network and server upgrades, builds, and project implementations.
- Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and optimizations for systems and networks.
- Install, configure, and deploy Microsoft Windows workstations and servers, as well as network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Utilize advanced knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP subnetting and Internet connectivity troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot complex software issues with Windows, M365, and various applications (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Adobe).
- Configure and manage users, permissions, and email accounts in Active Directory (AD/GPO), Azure Entra ID, Exchange, and Office 365.
- Proactively monitor IT systems using tools like NinjaOne, and resolve issues before they impact clients.
- Conduct regular maintenance, documentation, and testing of client network environments.
Technical Qualifications:
- Extensive experience as an IT Consultant or Systems Engineer with a focus on hardware, software, and network solutions.
- Deep understanding of TCP networking and related protocols (e.g., DHCP, DNS, VLANs).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Windows Server (2012 R2 through 2022).
- Expertise in virtualization technologies, particularly VMware and Hyper-V.
- Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record, with access to a vehicle for local work-related travel.
Interpersonal Qualifications:
- Passion for IT with a strong interest in testing and implementing new technologies.
- 5-7 years of experience in systems administration and project implementation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to deliver high-accuracy work.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with an analytical approach to problem-solving.
- Quick learner with the capability to adapt to new processes and technologies.
- Willingness to handle a range of tasks from entry-level to senior-level responsibilities.
Location: Wood Dale, IL
Salary: $90,000 – $110,000+ (Based on Experience)
