MSP (2020-Present)
Systems Administrator
- System administrator with one other System Administrator.
- We have about 20-30 clients that we both manage. I mainly handle the remote work since I moved to Florida. The other system Admin does some remote work, but takes care of most onsites.
- I will occasionally travel for on-site work since it is just us 2.
- Between us both we pretty much manage all IT needs of our clients. It could be as simple as helping a user change their password. Or as complicated as doing an email migration, implementing a new network/ server/etc.
MSP another (2009-2021)
Senior Field Engineer
- This was my first career-type job out of college. I started out working Helpdesk for a few years.
- I eventually ranked up to a Tier 2 field engineer.
- I then eventually ranked up to a senior field engineer/sys admin.
- I specialized in M365 & Exchange. However the company I worked for was an MSP, so I worked on pretty much everything.
- MSP was bought by another MSP. At this point I was truly tested and became one of the only Engineers/Sys Admins that was not new. I performed a lot of training to assist with the transition for about another year, but eventually parted ways.
