Technical Specialist

  • Hired to complete projects for a large enterprise company.
  • AD Tiering, M365 Defender implementation, and further tightening their security.
  • While waiting for clearance for those projects, I completed a subset of side projects.
  • Helped PSM Partners with a MS Teams Voice project in which the current engineer was sick and unable to complete and the 3rd party he was working with was having trouble with the conference room phones.
  • Fixed conference room phones so they could be checked out showing on users calendars when booking meetings.
  • Wrote a script for a gentleman at the NOC that would remove Skype for Business from the users machines as the version of office they had installed bundled S4B with Office.
  • Also worked on several projects internally that had been planned out but fell behind.
  • Based on a plan by a previous engineer, then revised by myself, I migrated their spam filter from MimeCast to Microsoft Defender 365 as well as setup security roles and groups.

Larger MSP (2021-2024)
Project Engineer (2023-2024)

  • Resolved DFSR replication issues between nine DCs across four or five states.
  • It required authoritative restoration after verifying the SYSVOL and NETLOGON folders had been replicated throughout the forest.
  • Coordinated a team to handle ransomware infiltration, achieving 75%
  • operational status within one week and 95% within two weeks.
  • Rebuild a network for 250 users, directly managing the headquarters office.
  • Developed and executed a script for redeploying 150+ laptops, ensuring data integrity.
  • Successfully moved a four-server cluster with minimal downtime for a multinational company.
  • Upgraded Exchange Server from 2013 to 2019, maintaining connectivity for
  • 500+ users.

Senior Network Field Engineer

  • Started more project-based work, specifically for a newly signed iTAR compliant
  • CNC shop.
  • Here I obtained my experience in this field. I had to reverse several CNC machines attached PC’s with several small, sometimes single support teams.
  • Worked to help them get CMMC. Provided guidance and worked with a mentee to their their Active Directory.
  • Moved their backup from Veeam to Datto, confirmed they needed a larger SAN or more drives.
  • Led and completed projects for major clients, including multinational and enterprise-level clients.
  • Assisted and mentored new field engineers, ensuring they adhered to company protocols and gained necessary expertise.
  • Worked with the project team on email migrations to Exchange Online.
  • Retained five out of six clients that I was primary on. The sixth didn’t sign because they wanted to go with the cheaper option.
  • Migrated a large Medical Clients email from Gmail to Exchange Online as well as G-drive to OneDrive using the newly added, built-in, migration tools.
  • I was spearheading the use of these free tools over paid ones, everything I did I documented.
  • Completed the PoC, write-up process, and executed the migration. All email and drive files were moved over successfully.

MSP same above (2021-2022)
Network Field Engineer

  • Supported a $100,000/month client, resulting in a 5-year contract renewal due to strong client relationships. Same Client I had as an associate.
  • I was responsible for keeping all three warehouses online and the workers working including the Europe Office. Eventually they’d partner with an IT team in the Netherlands that I worked closely with.
  • Any time down would lead to a great deal of lost income. Upwards of millions of dollars.
  • They have a full Meraki Stack. Two HA MX firewalls at each location followed downstream by a large distribution switch that feeds into access switches for endpoints.
  • Conducted assessments leading to new client acquisitions and service expansions.
  • Signed three of the four clients I wrote system assessments on.
  • Mentored service desk staff, imparting best practices and specialized knowledge.

Associate Network Field Engineer

  • Quickly adapted to company protocols, gaining primary client account responsibilities.
  • Led the branch’s first Microsoft Teams Voice deployment and became the application/migration champion.
  • Planned the entire project and worked with single PoC to create pilot groups, test users, test call queues and auto-attendants. Tested these moved pilot group into production.
  • Completed a basic setup with a single call queue going to a recipient.
  • Became the primary contact for the branch’s largest enterprise client.
  • This enterprise client is a logistics and supply chain management (3LP) for the airline industry.
  • They have three sites/warehouses: Chicago, Phenoix, and Dinteloord (Netherlands).

Small MSP in Chicago (2015-2019)
Jr. IT Consultant

  • Assisted as a stand-in for the director for a large 22+ school School District while they were transitioning in a new one.
  • Trained a new member of their team to fill another position “Windows
  • Engineer” which I was stading-in for until the director was retiring.
  • Worked with Dentrix, Dexis, and the various dental modules in each supporting and upgrading the Dentrix server as well as 25+ client machines.
  • Moved a Dentist’s office to a newly built office. Planned the entire move and executed.
  • Virtualized and moved Dentrix and Dexis servers. Configured all end points for move.
  • Performed numerous Office 365 migrations, including Exchange and file server migrations to SharePoint.
  • Supported 200+ servers and 1000+ endpoint devices, managing various company migrations to Windows 10.
  • Conducted asset management and oversaw project implementations based on analysis.

  • Supported 28 servers (’03, ’08, & ’12), 217 PCs (mix of XP, 7, & 8), and approximately 200 users.
