Explain high level the goals we are aiming for, allows immediate feedback and forms group communication. Everyone is part of the team. Recent project regarding new RDS cloud environments, oral communication was key to understanding what users need, what problems they faced, options on how we could provide new solutions and how they are accessing it currently. This allowed me to build the environment fitting their expectations and needs, cut down on cost and time, and keeping everyone in the loop with updates.

 

Problem-solving – Ability to solve problems in stressful situations. Approach complex issues with curiosity and determination while logically examining steps for resolution. In a recent customer environment involving other vendors, there was an issue with users being dropped from a business application. After troubleshooting the problem locally, contacted the vendors IT to track down and go step by step to where the network problem could exist. We found that there was a extra hop between offices that acted as a middle man, to eliminate this extra step I created a VPN tunnel from site to site which ended up bringing the business application to a reliable stable connection for users.
