We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Senior Support Engineer to join our growing team. In this dynamic Tier 2 role, you will be at the forefront of supporting and troubleshooting critical IT infrastructure for a wide range of small to medium-sized businesses. You’ll take ownership of escalated support cases, work closely with clients to solve complex technical challenges, and help design and implement modern IT solutions. Job Title: Senior Support Engineer (Tier 2) – IT Solutions & Consulting
Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid/Remote Flexibility)
Salary: $75K – $85K (Based on Experience)

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide expert-level support to end-users, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues via phone, email, and ticketing systems.
  • Serve as the escalation point for Tier 1 staff, offering guidance and leadership to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Collaborate with Client Account Managers and other teams to manage client relationships and projects, from planning to execution.
  • Design, implement, and maintain both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure solutions for clients.
  • Perform hands-on IT support, including hardware repairs, system setups, and configuration tasks as needed.
  • Drive client migrations from on-premise solutions to cloud environments, improving scalability and performance.
  • Handle preventative maintenance, ensuring that workstations, servers, and network devices are up to date and functioning optimally.
  • Implement security measures, including antivirus software and data backup/recovery solutions to safeguard client systems.
  • Actively contribute to client IT strategy discussions, providing consultative input and recommending solutions tailored to their business needs.

Who You Are:

  • Experienced: 3+ years of experience in network and server administration, preferably in an MSP or managed IT services environment.
  • Tech-Savvy: Strong experience with server and cloud platforms, including Microsoft Server, M365, Azure, and Mac OS.
  • Client-Focused: You have experience working directly with clients, understanding their needs, and delivering exceptional service.
  • Problem Solver: Ability to troubleshoot complex IT issues and design effective solutions.
  • Self-Driven: Comfortable working autonomously and managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborative: Able to work well in a team, providing guidance to junior staff and contributing to a positive work culture.

Bonus Skills (Nice-to-Haves):

  • Experience with Autotask, Datto BCDR, Datto RMM, Cytracom Control One, Threatlocker, and CyberQP is a plus.
  • Experience designing and managing both on-premises and cloud networks, including virtual servers and infrastructure.
