IT Field Engineer – Entry Level

Bowman Williams is seeking a IT Field Engineer – Entry Level to join The System Engineer Team located in Reston, VA.

We are seeking an IT Field Engineer to come in entry-level and join the growing System Engineer Team that focuses on supporting small and mid-size clients. This team works in the Field and out of the Reston HQ office. The System Engineering Team is responsible for new system setups and consulting with clients on solutions and services.

This company is one of the fastest growing Hosting and Managed Services Providers on the East Coast and is constantly looking for new ways to improve service offerings to their customers. This company is extremely selective in who they invite to join their team, only picking the best and brightest engineers and administrators in the industry.

Health, dental, 401(k) and profit sharing are available for a qualifying Senior Microsoft Server Specialist.

The ideal IT Field Engineer will have the following background:

A thorough working knowledge of the full suite of Microsoft products including: Server 2012/2016, Exchange 2010/2013/2016
Experience administering Office 365 and Azure
Strong knowledge of current cloud, data center and IT infrastructure technologies service providers and technology developers, industry analysts and influencers.
Demonstrable experience in the configuration, installation, and maintenance of local area network hardware and software services.
Strong leadership ability, including the ability to lead a team on a project from start to finish
Experience in the systems administrator role, the maintenance, set-up, and configuration of client systems
Migration experience including experience in migrating from Server 2012 to Server 2016
Previous experience working as Cloud Systems Administrator for an IT Solutions or Services company is a big plus
