IT Field Engineer – Managed Services
We are currently looking for an IT Field Engineer – Managed Services to do about 50% on-site server support for multiple SMB clients (local travel only). The IT Field Engineer – Managed Services role will be a good opportunity for an up-and-coming junior tech to gain exposure to emerging virtualization and cloud technologies and grow beyond basic desktop support. The IT Field Engineer – Managed Services opening is well-suited for someone with some experience with a Managed Service Provider and at least 3 years experience.
IT Field Engineer – Managed Services Requirements:
- Experience troubleshooting/administering Microsoft infrastructure technologies (M365, Active Directory/Azure Entra, Group Policy, etc)
- Windows Server 2016/2016/2019/2022
- Experience in an SLA-driven environment, servicing multiple clients concurrently
- Experience using a help desk ticketing system
- Extensive knowledge of networking, including the installation and configuration of firewalls, switches, and routers
- Experience with network troubleshooting and maintenance
- Familiarity with setting up and managing VPNs and VLANs
- Hands-on experience with firewall technologies (e.g., SonicWALL, Meraki, PFsense)
- Experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V is a plus
