IT Helpdesk Technician Tier 1.5 (Quick Advancement!)

We are a FUN Virginia based IT company that offers IT services and support for small to large size businesses. Our primary focus is providing innovative technology solutions and IT services to our clients. We are looking for a motivated IT Helpdesk Technician Tier 1.5 to join our team!

The hired IT Helpdesk Technician Tier 1.5 will be interacting with customers, end-users, troubleshooting issues on systems, backend system administration and providing general technical support remotely.

The IT Helpdesk Technician Tier 1.5 (Quick Advancement!) is an ideal role for anyone who feels like they have mastered basic tier 1 support and is looking to transition into a tier 2 position. We pride ourselves on our quick advancement and amble learning opportunities within the company!

IT Helpdesk Technician Tier 1.5 Responsibilities:

  • Escalate issues to higher level staff as needed.
  • Utilize ticket tracking system to perform work and bill time for services rendered.
  • Modification of configurations, utilities, software, hardware, etc. for workstations, servers, and network resources.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
  • Technical assistance via phone, email, and ticketing system.
  • Daily time and ticket entry for all support requests.
  • Work with Customer Care Team to achieve service excellence.
  • Installing, configuring, and repairing desktop and network printers

IT Helpdesk Technician Tier 1.5 Qualifications

  • Previous experience working for an IT Managed Service Provider supporting multiple external businesses required**
  • A+ Certification (Required)
  • Net+ Certification (Preferred)
  • HP or Lenovo certified (Preferred)
  • Associate degree or higher in IT Networking (Preferred)
  • Genuinely desire to provide excellent customer service to clients.
  • Clearly able to communicate over a phone.
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • The ability to be calm under pressure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate with technical and non-technical people.
