We are seeking a highly skilled IT Solutions Architect & Senior Engineer who will dedicate approximately 50% of their time on architecture/ design and the remaining 50% on implementation and escalated support. The IT Solutions Architect & Senior Engineer will work with our team to consult, design, implement, and support advanced solutions from vendors like VMWare, Nutanix, Azure VDI, Cisco, Fortinet, SonicWALL, Microsoft, and others.

IT Solutions Architect & Senior Engineer – MSP Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand client needs and develop tailored solutions that leverage Microsoft Azure and other cutting-edge technologies.
  • Conduct analysis of client infrastructure, applications, and business processes to architect effective and scalable solutions.
  • Design system architectures, create solution blueprints, and produce detailed technical documentation.
  • Provide recommendations on Microsoft Azure platform services, solutions, and best practices.
  • Lead solution presentations and engage in technical discussions with clients
  • Work closely with the engineering team to oversee the implementation of solutions, ensuring adherence to design specifications.
  • Provide ongoing technical support to clients, troubleshoot and resolve issues, and offer continuous improvement recommendations.

IT Solutions Architect & Senior Engineer – MSP Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or similar role within an MSP or IT consulting environment.
  • 8+ Years systems architecture, administration, installation, and troubleshooting
  • Advanced working knowledge of virtualization including VMWare, Horizons, Hyperconverged systems, SANS, clustering and other network storage systems.
  • Advanced working knowledge of networking architecture and technologies including TCP/IP, VLANS, routing, switches, firewalls, DNS, VPN, and VoIP. (Cisco, Fortinet, SonicWALL)
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and Azure AD (AD enterprise structure, replication, default objects, roles, GPO’s and policies) and Windows Server Technologies (Windows Server, HyperV, RDS, SQL, IIS …).
  • Working knowledge of security policies and controls.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, M365, AWS, Google, GSuite …)
