Position Overview

In this role, you’ll divide your time between 70% support and 30% project work. As the second-to-top-level escalation point, you’ll address complex technical issues related to Ubiquiti networks, server administration (including Active Directory, Group Policy, email systems, and user accounts), and Microsoft 365. Your project duties will involve managing and executing legacy network and server hardware replacements, ensuring seamless transitions and upgrades.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Deliver exceptional remote and onsite level 2/3 support for servers and systems, focusing on client satisfaction and technical proficiency.
  • Project Work: Conduct network and server upgrades and builds, and perform system and network diagnostics, repairs, and improvements.
  • Installation & Configuration: Install, configure, and deploy Microsoft Windows workstations and servers, as well as networking hardware including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot advanced client-specific software issues related to Windows, M365, and other applications such as QuickBooks, Sage, and Adobe.
  • User Management: Configure and provision users, permissions, and email accounts in Active Directory, Azure Entra ID, Exchange, and Office 365.
  • Monitoring & Maintenance: Utilize NinjaOne for proactive IT issue monitoring and resolution, and ensure thorough maintenance, documentation, and testing of client network environments.

Qualifications

  • Technical Skills: Proven experience in IT consulting with expertise in administering, configuring, and deploying hardware, software, and network solutions. Strong understanding of TCP networking protocols (DHCP, DNS, VLANs, etc.), Microsoft Windows and Windows Server (2012 R2 through 2022), and virtualization technologies (primarily VMware).
  • Experience: 5-7 years of systems administration and project implementation experience, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Capable of quickly learning new technologies and processes, and willing to handle a range of customer-related tasks from entry-level to advanced.
