IT System Administrator & Field Technician Overview:

Due to steady growth, we are seeking a IT System Administrator & Field Technician. This person will be responsible for providing support on Windows servers, computers, and firewalls with at least 4 years of experience. This person has a keen eye for details and is experienced in managing Windows Servers including Active Directory, DNS, Server Applications, User Accounts, Group Policies, and Security. Experience with the configuration of firewalls, and resolving desktop problems for users including email, printing, scanning, and other office-related software issues. This person will become the technical advisor to our customers and provide them with technical support as well as high-level advice on technology solutions.
Previous experience working for a MSP is REQUIRED for this role.
IT System Administrator & Field Technician Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent service and support to end-users onsite at customer locations.
- Resolve user issues assigned in the form of tickets in the onsite and helpdesk service boards communicating with technical staff and escalating outstanding matters when needed.
- Perform work on servers as required to resolve user-facing tickets.
- Work within server room environments for purposes of documentation, troubleshooting, and assisting engineers remotely.
IT System Administrator & Field Technician Qualifications:
- Extensive work experience (4+ years) deploying and maintaining LANs;
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft (Workstation and Server) and Macintosh operating systems including Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, VMWare, Routing, and Network Management;
- Insurable driving record & current driver license;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
