we are on the hunt for an IT System Administrator L2.5 (MSP) with previous experience working with a Managed Services Provider. The IT System Administrator L2.5 (MSP) role is a jack-of-all-trades supporting clients Systems, Networks, and Cloud environments. As an IT System Administrator L2.5 (MSP) your main technical responsibilities will revolve around Windows/Mac OS, Windows Server, M365, VMware, Hyper-V, Ubiquiti, SonicWALL, Meraki, Azure (Entra ID, Intune), and PowerShell.
IT System Administrator L2.5 (MSP) Systems you’ll be supporting:
- Windows: Desktop & Server operating systems, Active Directory, Azure Entra ID, Group Policy, RDS/Terminal Server, and RDP.
- Apple: MacOS, iOS Mail, iCloud.
- Office Applications: Microsoft 365, Google Workspace.
- Email: Exchange Online / On-Prem, IMAP, SMTP, POP3 (ugh), Gmail, Outlook, MX/SPF/DMARC records, email migration.
- Virtualization: Hyper-V or VMware.
- Backup: Veeam, StorageCraft, Datto and similar disaster-recovery services.
- Routers & Firewalls: we primarily use Ubiquiti products, but you should know your way around other vendors’ gear – Cisco, SonicWALL, Sophos, FortiGate, etc.
- Networking: DNS.
- Command-line Tools: PowerShell & batch scripting, MacOS shell script. Be comfortable in a terminal!
- PSA/RMM: Autotask and Datto RMM preferred
