IT System Engineer (Managed Services) Overview:
We are an IT full service technology solution provider supporting anything with an on/off switch. We bring enterprise class solutions to businesses who often don’t have expertise on staff. This is a permanent, full-time role paying $90k – $100k with full benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with 4% match, PTO, certification reimbursement, and more.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an IT System Engineer (Managed Services) with previous experience working for a MSP. As an IT System Engineer (Managed Services), you will be responsible for maintaining the design and integrity of customer’s infrastructure, coordinating complex projects, consulting with clients, and completing tier 3 tickets.
IT System Engineer (Managed Services) Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support server architecture including: Windows Server, SQL, Exchange, VMWare, etc.
- Experience with configuring business-class firewalls and VPNs.
- Knowledge and experience with setting up and maintaining Windows Domains, GPOs, and Active Directory
- Work with clients, vendors, and 3rd party consultants to implement technical solutions projects for infrastructure and desktops.
- Ability to work independently and with a team of technicians.
- Design, Implement, and Support disaster recovery solutions.
- Technical services and support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security.
- System documentation maintenance and recommendations.
- Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes, and agreed outages.
- Train and mentor junior techs.
IT System Engineer (Managed Services) Qualifications:
- Previous experience working for a Managed Services Provider.
- Professional IT Certifications, such as: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Azure Administrator Associate, Cisco CCNA, or VMware VCP
- Advanced understanding of operating systems, business applications, printing systems, and network systems.
- Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening and customer-care.
