A fast-growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) is seeking a skilled and automation-minded Systems & Network Administrator (Tier 2.5) to support complex client environments, improve network infrastructure, and drive workflow efficiency through scripting and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Management & On-Site Infrastructure Audits

  • Conduct site audits to assess, document, and enhance client networks
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot firewalls, VLANs, wireless access points, switches, and routers
  • Perform proactive maintenance and ensure alignment with internal standards

Automation & AI-Enhanced Workflows

  • Write and maintain scripts in PowerShell, Python, or equivalent to reduce manual workloads
  • Identify opportunities for automation across internal systems and client environments
  • Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT Business Edition) to boost documentation, streamline tasks, and improve efficiency

Systems Implementation & Escalation Support

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain IT software tools and platforms for internal and client use
  • Serve as a Tier 2.5/3 escalation point for advanced infrastructure and system issues
  • Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior technicians

Client-Facing Support & Strategy

  • Engage with clients onsite and remotely to provide high-level support and strategic network insights
  • Communicate technical solutions clearly and confidently during audits and escalations

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in an MSP or similar IT support environment
  • Network certification (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent experience)
  • Advanced knowledge of firewalls, switches, VLANs, wireless technologies, and network monitoring tools
  • Strong scripting ability in PowerShell, Python, or similar
  • Interest or experience in using AI tools for documentation and process improvement
  • Familiarity with tools like Fortinet, Microsoft 365, Autotask, IT Glue, Datto, and ThreatLocker preferred
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with clients
