Currently, we are seeking a duel threat System & Network Engineer to lead a team of engineers. The System & Network Engineer will split their time 30% managing the team, 50% escalations, 20% implementation/design. The ideal System & Network Engineer will have experience with M365 migrations, P2V/ V2V migrations, Azure migrations & builds, and network builds & configurations. The System & Network Engineer should also be a leader who has experience mentoring and guiding junior engineers.

IT System & Network Engineer Team Lead Responsibilities:

  • Responding to Help Desk escalations (<20% of your time)
  • Managing all aspects of networking platforms for our customers
  • Serving as a subject matter expert, leveraging your IT/MSP background to provide expertise and guidance to junior technicians
  • Demonstrating proficiency in server administration, including DNS management, to ensure optimal performance of clients’ server infrastructure
  • Utilizing your experience with Intune and Azure to ensure proper integration and security
  • Troubleshooting network and workstation issues
  • Monitoring active network and server infrastructure
  • Performing routine preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Documenting all technical procedures and user guides
  • Providing onsite technical assistance
  • Creating network diagrams and collecting information about new clients
  • Working on projects from beginning to completion to satisfy client needs
  • Ensuring backups are performing correctly

IT System & Network Engineer Team Lead Requirements

  • The ability to take projects from start to finish
  • Project management skills and the ability to document all projects/tasks
  • The capacity to provide guidance in non-technical terms to our clients
  • Efficient communication skills on all projects and processes
  • 3+ years of Help Desk experience
  • 3+ years of experience as a Systems & Network Administrator or Engineer
