Currently, we are seeking a Mid-level Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal, focusing 50% on managing projects and 50% on providing escalated support. As an Engineer, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality solutions and overseeing the technical aspects of client systems infrastructures. Your expertise in diagnosing and resolving IT issues, coupled with your exceptional communication skills, will be crucial in ensuring our clients’ IT environments operate efficiently, securely, and reliably.
IT Systems Engineer Tier II/III (Partial Work From Home) Responsibilities:
- Deploy solutions across various technologies, including Exchange, VMware, and Windows Server.
- Build new network and server environments, and conduct physical to virtual conversions.
- Install physical network, server, and desktop equipment for clients.
- Manage, maintain, and upgrade existing servers, networks, and desktops.
- Conduct security audits and implement security measures using technologies like SentinelOne, DUO 2FA, Keeper password manager, and Cisco Umbrella.
- Foster strong relationships with multiple clients, manage expectations, and provide regular project status updates.
- Understand client business processes and objectives, recommending technology solutions to enhance efficiency or achieve goals.
- Resolve technical issues such as desktop viruses, software deployments, server and desktop hardware problems, and software glitches.
- Assist with technology projects, coordinating resources both internally and externally.
- Provide support for Microsoft 365 environments, Mailstore mail archives, Altero/Hornet Security 365 Total backup, and Wasabi Immutable Backups.
IT Systems Engineer Tier II/III (Partial Work From Home) Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in IT Support, ideally within a Managed Service Provider environment.
- Strong understanding of network technology and related concepts (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, SMTP, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Exchange, VMware, Hyper-V, Remote Desktop Services, Windows Server, SQL Server, Check Point & other firewalls, Active Directory, Azure, AWS, and M365.
- Experience with Microsoft stack technologies and ESXi VMware for server hosts.
- Familiarity with Dell Server hardware running VMware and network design, upgrades, and refreshes (Ubiquiti preferred).
- Team-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience with ticketing applications (e.g., ConnectWise) and managed service applications (e.g., LabTech/ConnectWise) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of security technologies such as SentinelOne, DUO 2FA, Keeper, and Cisco Umbrella.
Salary: $75k – $95k
