Junior Managed Services System / Network Administrator

We are a growing, highly customer-centric IT Solutions firm is seeking a System Administrator / Network Administrator – Junior to help us continue to provide expert IT solutions and exceptional customer service to small and medium-sized businesses.

The ideal Junior Managed Services System / Network Administrator will have excellent technical, troubleshooting and customer service skills. This person will have a “yes I can” attitude and always asks what else can be done to help. They will be eager to learn and do more. The Junior Managed Services System / Network Administrator will be an outstanding engineer who is ready to take the next step in their career toward technical leadership. The System Administrator / Network Administrator – Junior will need to be a polished communicator, able to effectively translate technical solutions to non-technical decision-makers.

In the Junior Managed Services System / Network Administrator role, you will be responsible for supporting clients as a member of our high touch, team both on client sites as well as from our office HQ. The Junior Managed Services System / Network Administrator will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing and servicing our clients’ networks and critical systems. The Junior Managed Services System / Network Administrator will also be responsible for taking escalated issues from our Help Desk team as well as providing technical mentorship.

You will be exposed to many different technologies. As such, you will not be expected to know everything, but expected to be resourceful in finding solutions.

The ideal Junior Managed Services System / Network Administrator will have 3+ years of professional IT experience working with a broad range of technologies and solutions including:

  • Microsoft Server 2012 and up, and all MS Operating Systems
  • Active Directory and Email Administration
  • TCP-IP Networking
  • Server Virtualization
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery Solutions
  • Firewalls, VPNs and Security Solutions
  • Cloud Technologies (Azure, Azure AD, O365)
  • Systems Management Tools

Junior Managed Services System / Network Administrator Requirements:

  • Demonstrated technical skillset and experience
  • Technical leadership ability
  • Excellent customer service skills and “can do” attitude
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to read/speak/write at a high level. The role requires high level written communication skills.

  • Resourcefulness – the ability to figure things out

Junior Managed Services System / Network Administrator Pluses:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Technical certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, Dell and other top solutions are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of MSP tools (ConnectWise Automate; ConnectWise Manage)
  • Azure
