We are working with a 65-person AI-enabled cloud services firm that is building well beyond the traditional MSP model. The company has a dedicated team focused solely on monetizing AI solutions, helping clients turn tools like Microsoft Copilot, automation, security data, and cloud workflows into practical business outcomes.

This is a good fit for someone who wants a more modern environment, stronger technical runway, and leadership that is actively investing in where the Microsoft ecosystem is going. Microsoft’s partner ecosystem is increasingly centered around cloud, AI, security, modern work, infrastructure, and data, which lines up well with the direction of this role.

Engineers here are given real autonomy to run projects, work directly with clients, and take ownership of cloud and infrastructure initiatives from discovery through delivery.

Where You’ll Spend Your Time

  • Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and modern workplace environments
  • Azure infrastructure projects involving virtual machines, virtual networks, storage, identity, permissions, and cloud migration work
  • Microsoft 365 tenant improvements, Copilot readiness, licensing alignment, identity cleanup, permission reviews, and data/security preparation
  • Intune endpoint management, compliance policies, conditional access, device standards, and security baseline configuration
  • Microsoft Defender, Entra, Intune, and Purview-related initiatives tied to security visibility, identity, endpoint, and data governance
  • Automation, workflow improvement, AI-readiness projects, and practical Microsoft Copilot use cases for SMB and mid-market clients
  • Project discovery, scoping, implementation, documentation, client communication, and internal handoff

Microsoft’s current Security Copilot direction specifically connects AI workflows across Defender, Entra, Intune, Purview, and Sentinel, so those are logical technologies to feature for a forward-looking Microsoft cloud role.

Background That Lines Up Well

  • 2+ years in an MSP, cloud services, consulting, or client-facing infrastructure environment
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Windows Server, and networking
  • Exposure to Microsoft Defender, Purview, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, firewalls, virtualization, backup/DR, or endpoint management
  • Someone comfortable owning pieces of a project instead of waiting for step-by-step direction
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work with clients, internal project teams, and business decision-makers
  • Interest in AI, automation, Microsoft Copilot, cloud modernization, and where client environments are heading next
