We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Migrations & Systems Project Engineer to join our growing team. In this hybrid role, you’ll lead and execute technical projects, focusing on O365 migrations, Azure cloud infrastructure, and VMware/Hyper-V deployments for small and mid-market businesses. You’ll consult with clients, scope out IT solutions, and manage project implementation, with hands-on engineering and troubleshooting. Senior Project Engineer – Microsoft Solutions (MSP)
Location: Richardson, TX (Hybrid role)
Salary: $100,000 – $120,000
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Plan, implement, and support Microsoft cloud solutions, including Office 365 and Azure environments.
- Migrations & Deployments: Lead Office 365, SharePoint, and Azure migrations, ensuring seamless transitions for clients.
- Server & Cloud Administration: Manage Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.
- Endpoint & Security Management: Deploy and configure Microsoft Intune and enforce security best practices.
- Virtualization & Infrastructure: Support virtual environments (Hyper-V, VMware) and enterprise applications like SQL and SharePoint.
- Technical Escalations: Provide Tier 3 support, troubleshooting complex IT issues in enterprise environments.
- Documentation & Process Improvement: Develop SOPs, technical guides, and best practices for internal teams and client knowledge transfer.
- Client Engagement: Collaborate with business leaders to align IT strategies with their operational goals.
What You’ll Need
- 5+ years of IT project experience, preferably in an MSP environment.
- Expertise in Office 365 migrations, Azure environments, and Active Directory administration.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, PowerShell scripting, and cloud security best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, endpoint management, and security configurations.
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms like Hyper-V and VMware.
- Ability to lead client-facing projects with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
