We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Migrations & Systems Project Engineer to join our growing team. In this hybrid role, you’ll lead and execute technical projects, focusing on O365 migrations, Azure cloud infrastructure, and VMware/Hyper-V deployments for small and mid-market businesses. You’ll consult with clients, scope out IT solutions, and manage project implementation, with hands-on engineering and troubleshooting. This is an excellent opportunity for an autonomous engineer with strong project experience and deep technical expertise in Microsoft technologies.
Job Title: Microsoft Migrations & Systems Project Engineer
Location: Oak Brook, IL (Hybrid: WFH with occasional office/client visits)
Salary Range: $100K – $110K (Commensurate with experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management & Implementation: Lead Microsoft 365 migrations, Azure cloud deployments, and VMware/Hyper-V virtualization projects.
- Client Consultation: Work with C-level executives to understand needs and deliver tailored IT solutions.
- Hands-on Systems Engineering: Manage network, storage, and server infrastructure, including Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and firewall configuration.
- Escalation Support: Provide high-level technical support during project remediation phases.
- Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and contribute to team growth.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Microsoft 365 Migrations (Email, SharePoint, OneDrive, MFA)
- VMware/Hyper-V migrations and virtualization
- Azure cloud solutions and AWS infrastructure
- Active Directory & PowerShell expertise
- Strong knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN, firewalls, routers) and storage solutions (SAN)
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
