Mid-Level Server Support Engineer – MSP

We seek a Mid-Level Server Support Engineer – MSP to join a growing Managed Service Provider based out of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The selected Mid-Level Server Support Engineer – MSP will provide proactive network and infrastructure administration to various clients. The Mid-Level Server Support Engineer – MSP will be part of a team that supports a growing list of clients both local to the DFW area as well as remote clients in other states/countries.

The Server Support Engineer – MSP position requires someone with over years of IT support / MSP experience who enjoys working with customers and learning from senior-level engineers. The Server Support Engineer – MSP will be responsible for customer facing remote technical support by phone and email, utilizing remote tools. The Server Support Engineer – MSP will be a technical resource and will , possess excellent verbal/written communication skills, be strongly self-motivated, and have the ability excel in a team environment with minimal supervision.

Mid-Level Server Support Engineer – MSP Experience:

  • Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools
  • Troubleshooting of modern networks including but not limited to TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless
  • Experience working for a Managed Service Provider/tech experience
  • Have experience working with O365, Active Directory, GPO administration
  •  Knowledge and experience with virtual environments (AWS, Azure, VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Manage tickets (ConnectWise, Kaseya, AutoTask, etc)
  • Experience with AD/M365 administration
  • Experience with network configuration of firewalls, switches, VLANs
  • Knowledge of Remote Desktop Technologies
  • Experience with networks (SonicWall, Cisco, Meraki, Ruckus, etc.)
  • Responsibilities include the evaluation, selection and recommendation, technical documentation, and problem resolution for server and technology solutions.
