Mid-Level System and Network Administrator (MSP) Overview:

Our current opening is for a Mid-Level System and Network Administrator (MSP) who will work a hybrid WFH schedule.
The Mid-Level System and Network Administrator (MSP) will split their time between Network and Cloud administration. The ideal Mid-Level System and Network Administrator (MSP) candidate will have experience in supporting and troubleshooting network infrastructure within a Microsoft-centric environment. They should possess knowledge of Layer 2 and 3 network traffic (VLAN, switching, routing), as well as hands-on experience with Fortinet, Meraki, and Microsoft 365 administration. Familiarity with network security, cloud-based solutions (Intune, Azure), and server operating systems like Active Directory is also essential.
Mid-Level System and Network Administrator (MSP) Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain network infrastructure under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Assist with the design and deployment of network systems (OSI Layers 1-3).
- Install, manage, and troubleshoot network equipment and devices (Fortinet and Meraki).
- Help maintain backup and recovery procedures for network systems.
- Provide technical support for cloud-based solutions like Microsoft 365, Intune, and Azure.
Mid-Level System and Network Administrator (MSP) Requirements:
- Layer 2 and 3 network traffic fundamentals, including VLAN, switching, routing, and NAT.
- Fortinet and Meraki experience in deployment, management, and troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of IPv4, TCP/IP fundamentals, and protocols like TCP, UDP, HTTP, DNS, etc.
- Familiarity with network security concepts (e.g., VPNs, firewalls, proxies).
- Hands-on experience with network switches and wireless access points.
- Microsoft 365 administration
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Intune, SharePoint/OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams
- Understanding of networking aspects in Microsoft Azure (e.g., site-to-site tunnels, firewall appliances)
- Server Operating Systems (e.g., Active Directory, Network Policy Server)
