We are looking for a Field Services Technician to join a growing Managed Service Provider (MSP). This role is hands-on, focusing on hardware deployment, racking, stacking, and physical infrastructure at client sites. You’ll be responsible for installing and maintaining servers, firewalls, network devices, and cabling—ensuring systems are properly set up for success.
MSP Field Services Technician
Location: Columbia, MD
Salary: $70,000- $80,000
Key Responsibilities
- Install, rack, and deploy servers, firewalls, and networking equipment
- Perform on-site hardware and infrastructure tasks (this is not a helpdesk role)
- Troubleshoot basic network and connectivity issues
- Work closely with internal teams for seamless setup and configuration handoffs
- Ensure timely project delivery with strong organizational skills
- Maintain professional client communication while on-site
What You’ll Need
- Hands-on experience with hardware deployment, racking, and stacking servers
- Familiarity with Dell, HP, Cisco, SonicWall hardware
- Basic knowledge of firewalls, switches, TCP/IP, and networking fundamentals
- Previous experience in MSP or field services roles preferred
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management and accountability
