MSP IT System Engineer – Lead Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Take a lead role as the SME for infrastructure-related outages, failures, and problems.
- Coach Tier 2 and Tier 1 engineers on technical decision-making and ticket curation.
- Perform proactive and reactive Incident Response as a result of system or service anomalies.
- Provide top-notch technical support in your areas of subject matter expertise (storage, virtualization, Windows OS).
- Monitor and work with various systems management tools.
- Identify and drive opportunities to automate repeatable networking tasks including through creation and maintenance of scripts and tools.
- Quickly assess an issue and form an understanding of the root cause in unfamiliar technical environments and technologies.
- Commit to professional growth and development by maintaining and/or obtaining new industry-specific certifications.
- Strong experience with Cloud technologies (Azure)
- Strong experience with Virtualization technologies (VMware)
- Support of Windows Server environments (AD, GPO)
- Concepts, configuration, and troubleshooting of firewalls (SonicWall)
- Manage and troubleshoot Exchange user accounts through Office 365
- IT Glue administration, and process automation abilities preferred
- Previous MSP experience is a must-have
