MSP Network Technician Overview

As our MSP Network Technician you will be responsible for providing best-of-breed customer support to our clients in-person and remotely. You should have experience working within a Managed Service Provider and will be responsible for handling support and service requests related to all technology, to include: Networks, workstations, servers, and vendor specific hardware, software, and systems.

MSP Network Technician Requirements:

  • Understanding of Network Security fundamentals – Proxies, ACL, IPsec, VPN, SSL/TLS, etc.
  • IPv4 knowledge, TCP/IP fundamentals – TCP, UDP, HTTP, FTP, DNS, SIP, RTP, etc.
  • Understanding of Layer 2 and 3 network traffic
  • Experience in firewall deployment, management, and troubleshooting
  • Experience in wireless network deployment, management, and troubleshooting
  • Experience in deployment, management, and troubleshooting switches
  • Experience with desktop operating systems
  • Email Administration with mid-level of user management including configuring new accounts, profile, and permission issues
  • Virtualization Administration and architecture knowledge such as rebooting virtual machines, allocating necessary resources, and maintaining the hypervisor
  • Experience with M365 and ConnectWise
  • Domain functionality experience with Active Directory functionalities, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
  • Experience supporting Azure AD (InTune is a plus)
  • Experience in an IT Managed Service Provider environment to be qualified
