MSP Network Technician Requirements:
- Understanding of Network Security fundamentals – Proxies, ACL, IPsec, VPN, SSL/TLS, etc.
- IPv4 knowledge, TCP/IP fundamentals – TCP, UDP, HTTP, FTP, DNS, SIP, RTP, etc.
- Understanding of Layer 2 and 3 network traffic
- Experience in firewall deployment, management, and troubleshooting
- Experience in wireless network deployment, management, and troubleshooting
- Experience in deployment, management, and troubleshooting switches
- Experience with desktop operating systems
- Email Administration with mid-level of user management including configuring new accounts, profile, and permission issues
- Virtualization Administration and architecture knowledge such as rebooting virtual machines, allocating necessary resources, and maintaining the hypervisor
- Experience with M365 and ConnectWise
- Domain functionality experience with Active Directory functionalities, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
- Experience supporting Azure AD (InTune is a plus)
- Experience in an IT Managed Service Provider environment to be qualified
