Senior System Administrator / Projects Engineer (MSP)

Due to expanding business operations, we are currently seeking a Senior System Administrator / Projects Engineer (MSP). In the Senior System Administrator / Projects Engineer (MSP) role, you will play a crucial part in designing and maintaining complex systems environments, encompassing both internal and customer-facing platforms. As a Senior System Administrator / Projects Engineer (MSP), you will serve as a central point of contact for network trouble and problem escalation notifications. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and expertise in engineering cloud, hybrid cloud, and on-premises architectures.

This is a full-time, permanent position with a hybrid WFH schedule paying $140k – $150k not including bonuses.

Senior System Administrator / Projects Engineer (MSP) Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with system and network architects to design and implement enterprise systems that service our internal and customer needs.
  • Project manage and lead cross-departmental virtual teams in design and implementation efforts.
  • Monitoring – Systems, Network, Websites & Security monitoring (SolarWinds/LogicMonitor/PRTG)
  • Create frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure our systems are fit, properly maintained, and secure.
  • Security is a moving battlefield, and our Engineers need to be up on the latest spam and malware threats so they can prevent problems or lend assistance when problems arise.
  • Help keep vitally important IT systems up and running by overseeing day-to-day monitoring and response to alarms, fault, and performance management activities, ensuring prompt network analysis, testing, and corrective actions during IT and network events to provide the highest quality computing and network availability for our clients.

Senior System Administrator / Projects Engineer (MSP) Infrastructure:

  • Microsoft Operating Systems – All desktop and server versions
  • SAN/Storage such as Dell, NetApp, EMC
  • Data Backup and Recovery, Data Replication, Data Archival.
  • Hypervisor technologies (VMWare, Microsoft Hyper-V) implemented on both Traditional and Hyperconverged Infrastructures
  • Networking – TCP/IP, Routing Protocols, DCHP, VLANS, VPN, DNS, SD-WAN.
  • Firewall Technologies –Checkpoint, Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, Palo Alto, SonicWALL
