A growing Managed Services Provider (MSP) based in Hicksville, NY, is seeking a Senior System Engineer to join their team. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work on advanced projects across cloud, virtualization, and infrastructure environments.
The Senior System Engineer – MSP will help modernize infrastructures and migrate users from on-prem solutions to cloud solutions. This is an ideal position for an IT Professional with strong technical skills, ability to juggle multiple projects, and strong client facing skills.
Senior System Engineer – MSP Responsibilities:
- Provide IT support for Microsoft’s core business applications and virtual environments on Azure and VMware.
- Implement and support Microsoft-related technologies such as Windows Server, Office 365, and SharePoint.
- Deploy and maintain remote access solutions including VPN and Microsoft Intune.
- Support WAN/LAN infrastructure, firewalls, routers, and security appliances.
- Maintain monitoring systems and manage client environments remotely and onsite.
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues across systems, networks, and cloud environments.
- Maintain accurate documentation using ConnectWise and contribute to process improvements.
- Provide a high level of customer service through clear communication and technical expertise.
Senior System Engineer – MSP Requirements:
- MSP experience is required.
- Experience with Azure and other cloud platforms.
- Proficiency with VMware and Hyper-V virtualization technologies.
- Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting firewalls such as SonicWall, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Meraki, or pfSense.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and migration projects.
- Familiarity with remote monitoring and management tools (RMM) is a plus.
