We are an elite Managed Service Provider who values collaboration, integrity, innovation, and customer service. For more than three decades, we have been delivering IT Services to the greater Maryland area and are currently looking for a Senior System Engineer in response to new business.
The ideal Senior System Engineer is a natural leader with consultative skills and a dynamic technical background. The Senior System Engineer will be architecting and carrying out projects as well as serving as an escalation point on the service desk. The Senior System Engineer should be well versed in virtualization, hyper-converged environments, Networking (Routers, Switches, and Firewalls), PowerShell, Servers, and Azure.
Senior System Engineer (MSP) Responsibilities:
- Service as a project lead architecting and implementing solutions
- Serve as a highest point of escalation point for trouble tickets on the Support Desk (ConnectWise and/or N-Able experience is a plus)
- Extensive knowledge of Active Directory and Windows Server Technologies (Windows Server, HyperV, RDS, SQL, IIS …)
- In-depth working knowledge of virtualization including VMWare, HyperV SANS and clustering.
- In-depth knowledge of networking technologies including TCP/IP, VLANS, routing, switches, firewalls, DNS, VPN, and VoIP. (Cisco, Fortinet, SonicWALL)
- Working knowledge of security policies and NIST controls.
- Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, M365)
