Senior System Engineer – MSP
We’re a well-established and growing Managed Service Provider based in Sterling, VA, looking for a sharp and experienced System Engineer to join our technical team. This hybrid role offers a mix of remote flexibility and onsite collaboration, with 3 days of remote work per week. You’ll play a vital role in designing, implementing, and supporting advanced IT infrastructure for a diverse client base.

Senior System Engineer – MSP Key Responsibilities:
- Design, migrate, and support Windows Server and VMware/Hyper-V environments
- Align VMware best practices with internal workflows and client-specific requirements
- Lead cloud architecture efforts including AWS and Azure migrations and deployments
- Perform hands-on firewall configurations and deployments from scratch
- Manage hybrid environments with cloud and on-prem infrastructure
- Lead Microsoft 365 migrations and provide advanced M365 support
- Support infrastructure projects and mentor L2 engineers when needed
Senior System Engineer – MSP Qualifications:
- Prior experience working within an MSP environment is required
- Strong understanding of multi-site, hybrid IT infrastructures
- Deep experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V virtualization technologies
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, including migrations and tenant configurations
- Experience with firewall deployments (e.g., SonicWALL, Fortinet, Cisco, etc.)
- Familiar with P2V and V2V migrations and backup technologies
Senior System Engineer – MSP Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary: $90,000 – $100,000
