Senior Systems Engineer (ConnectWise/Azure) Responsibilities and Duties:
- Identify, propose, design, and deliver proactive and appropriate infrastructure upgrades/projects for managed service clients to enable a more productive, secure, and stable environment
- Master the role of primary technician for implementing and delivering IT projects including network discoveries, server environment upgrades, customer email migrations, and general customer environment onboarding on-premise or in Microsoft Azure.
- Support for Microsoft-related technologies: Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, Teams, Microsoft Azure, VMWare hypervisor, M365 Suite of applications.
- Implement and support disaster recovery solutions based on best practices (Acronis, Datto, Continuum, Veeam, etc.)
- Understanding of security best practices around Windows operating systems and networking.
- Advanced support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, switches, routers, firewalls, security, DNS, and VPN. (Cisco, Meraki, WatchGuard, etc.)
- Update and maintain client information in our documentation system as changes in their environment occur.
Senior Systems Engineer (ConnectWise/Azure) Qualifications:
- Ability to plan, architect, and write project plans is a must
- Experience working within an MSP (Managed Service Provider) is a must – Also accepted Full-service IT consultancy experience
- Experience with ConnectWise or other ticketing and remote monitoring and management tool
- Expertise in core IT business systems such as Windows Operating System, M365, Microsoft Azure, and VMware hypervisor.
