Senior Systems Administrator – MSP Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer or Systems Admin
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems
- Strong knowledge of networking and security protocols and technologies
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V)
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Office 365. (setup, configuration, design, and support of cloud-based workloads)
- Strong experience with Cloud environments on both administration and infrastructure
- Experience juggling multiple projects at once or leading a small team of engineers
- Extensive knowledge of configuration and maintenance of network infrastructure
- Extensive knowledge of working with firewalls, WAN, VPN, Cisco Meraki, or Palo Alto
- Being the second line of defense and visiting client sites for on-site support
- Being able to classify and categorizes incidents, prioritizing incidents to ensure timely resolution, and handling escalations
- Coach Tier 2 and Tier 1 engineers on technical decision-making and ticket curation.
- Certification in at least one of the following areas: Microsoft, VMWare, Security+, Kaseya, CISSP, CMMC, Azure or Amazon
- Must be able to appropriately document your work (IT Glue and ConnectWise)
- Experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment
- Design, implementation, and support of backup and disaster recovery solutions
