Service Desk Technician Level 2 (Windows/Mac)

We are an established Managed Services Provider seeking a Service Desk Technician Level 2 (Windows/Mac) to handle escalated issues within Windows and Mac environments. With a strong focus on innovation, professional growth, and a collaborative team environment, this company offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while advancing your career in a fast-paced and supportive setting. This is a full-time, permanent W2 position offering full benefits and majority WFH schedule (80% at home, 20% in and around Elgin) after three weeks of training onsite.

At this time, we are only considering applicants with MSP experience.

Service Desk Technician Level 2 (Windows/Mac) Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve macOS and Windows 11 issues within set timeframes.
  • Design and manage macOS system deployment workflows using JAMF, FileWave, or similar tools.
  • Support and troubleshoot Apple Business Manager and MDM environments.
  • Address workstation, server, networking, and remote work technology issues.
  • Maintain and update documentation, service tickets, and internal processes.
  • Assist with VoIP, mobile device management, and business application troubleshooting.
  • Participate in ongoing training and certification programs.

Service Desk Technician Level 2 (Windows/Mac) Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year MSP experience required
  • Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) or equivalent Mac administration experience.
  • Strong understanding of Apple and Windows networking functions.
  • Experience with remote work technologies and troubleshooting.
  • Basic knowledge of networking, VoIP, and server/workstation interactions.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills for macOS, Windows 10, and printers.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting (preferred but not required).
  • Strong organizational, customer service, and communication skills.
