Sr. Field Engineer – MSP
We seek a Sr. Field Engineer – MSP to join an MSP company that supports small-medium-sized businesses with their everyday technology needs. The Sr. Field Engineer – MSP will be an escalation point on the Service Desk and the field. Primary responsibilities include visiting local client sites in the area to perform troubleshooting of TCP/IP, Active Directory, Office365, Exchange, WAN, VLAN, Firewalls, VMWare, etc. The Sr. Field Engineer – MSP will also be responsible for the network’s server components’ maintenance, installation, and integrity, including systems backups.
The Sr. Field Engineer – MSP will be joining a fast-growing industry-leading collocation, managed hosting, and managed services company. Sr. Field Engineer – MSP Experience:
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- 3+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WORKING FOR A MANAGED SERVICE PROVIDER
- Advanced experience and knowledge of Microsoft OS (2008-2019)
- Experience with Windows Servers 2012, 2016, 2019 or above
- Maintained ticket updates for reported incidents and experience with the help desk ticketing system (ConnectWise, Kaseya, ServiceNow, etc.)
- Experience with Hyper-V and VMware
- Administration experience with Office 365 and Azure
- Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot printers and computer hardware
- Perform general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, and printers
- Experience with Firewall & Router Appliances (Sophos preferred but not required)
- Experience with VPNs
- Mentoring junior technicians
- Systems monitoring, analysis, and capacity planning.
Sr. Field Engineer – MSP Salary:
- Salary: $75k-$100k based on experience
