An innovative and growing manufacturing company in Naperville is seeking a System Administrator to support internal users and act as the technical liaison between the business and its Managed Services Provider (MSP). This is a critical position supporting both day-to-day IT needs and long-term infrastructure improvements.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work, is highly organized, and can communicate effectively across departments—from engineers to executives. You’ll work directly with manufacturing and engineering teams and play a key role in ensuring secure, stable, and optimized systems.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Deliver hands-on system administration and support across the organization
- Manage desktop hardware/software, network systems, infrastructure apps, and backups
- Handle day-to-day break/fix, upgrades, patching, deployments, and hardware lifecycle
- Provide onsite and remote technical support, escalating to third-party vendors as needed
- Collaborate with leadership to evaluate and implement IT solutions company-wide
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, including hardware provisioning and training
- Maintain hardware asset inventory and manage equipment disposition
- Work with the engineering and manufacturing departments to optimize operational IT systems
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience in a managed services or in-house support role
- Strong desktop support and systems administration background
- Experience with break/fix, asset management, desktop imaging, and remote support tools
- Excellent communicator who can work with users at all levels
- Proactive, highly organized, and confident managing IT vendors and third-party support
- Experience supporting technical environments in manufacturing is a plus
- Comfortable managing internal tickets and documentation
- Must be local to Naperville, IL
Work Schedule:
- Monday–Thursday: Full-day onsite
- Fridays: Half-day, work-from-home
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary: $80,000–$95,000
