System Administrator – Managed IT Services:

We are seeking a skilled System Administrator – Managed IT Services to join our team as a dedicated resource supporting a client in Rochester, NY. We deliver tailored IT solutions designed to enhance security, reliability, and performance for our clients’ infrastructure. This role focuses on implementing and managing systems, including cloud and virtualization platforms, network security, and remote access solutions.

System Administrator – Managed IT Services Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support core Microsoft business applications, including Windows Server, M365, and SharePoint.
  • Configure and maintain virtualization platforms such as Azure and VMware.
  • Implement and support remote access technologies, including VPN and Microsoft Intune.
  • Oversee network infrastructure, including WAN/LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security protocols.
  • Deploy and maintain disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
  • Utilize remote monitoring tools to manage and optimize IT systems proactively.
  • Document processes, solutions, and configurations within internal tracking systems.
  • Collaborate with team members to escalate and resolve complex issues effectively.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies to continuously improve service delivery.

System Administrator – Managed IT Services Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous MSP experience is required
  • Strong interpersonal skills, active listening, and telephony skills.
  • Diagnosis of hardware and software related issues.
  • Multitasking and adaptability.
  • Technical awareness and ability to match resources to technical issues appropriately.
  • Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services.
  • Experience with ITGlue, CyberCNS, Vijilan, and ConnectWise Automate is a major plus
