System Administrator / Mid Level Engineer – MSP (Hybrid WFH):

This role is hybrid WFH with the System Administrator / Mid Level Engineer – MSP (Hybrid WFH) only needing to come to our office once per week. You MUST have MSP experience and live within 45 minutes of Schaumburg, IL.
We are currently on the hunt for a System Administrator / Mid Level Engineer – MSP (Hybrid WFH). You will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality solutions and overseeing the technical aspects of client systems infrastructures. Your ability to diagnose and resolve IT issues, along with your excellent communication skills, will be essential in ensuring our clients’ IT environments operate efficiently, securely, and reliably.
System Administrator / Mid Level Engineer – MSP (Hybrid WFH) Responsibilities:
- Deploy solutions involving various technologies, including Exchange, VMware, and Windows Server.
- Build new network and server environments and perform physical to virtual conversions.
- Install physical network, server, and desktop equipment for customers.
- Manage, maintain, and upgrade existing servers, networks, and desktops.
- Conduct security audits and implement security measures using technologies such as SentinelOne, DUO 2FA, Keeper password manager, and Cisco Umbrella.
- Maintain healthy working relationships with multiple customers, manage customer expectations, and regularly communicate project status to customer contacts.
- Understand customer business processes and goals, and recommend technology solutions to improve those processes or achieve those goals.
- Solve technical problems including desktop viruses, software deployments, server and desktop hardware issues, and software problems.
- Assist with technology projects, coordinating internal and external resources as needed.
- Provide support for Microsoft 365 environment, Mailstore mail archive, Altero/Hornet
- Security 365 Total backup, and Wasabi Immutable Backups
System Administrator / Mid Level Engineer – MSP (Hybrid WFH) Technical Knowledge:
- At least 1 year of MSP experience
- Solid understanding of network technology and related concepts, such as LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, SMTP, etc.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Exchange, VMware, Hyper-V, Remote Desktop Services, Windows Server, SQL Server, Check Point & other firewalls, Active Directory, Azure, AWS, M365.
- Experience with Microsoft stack.
- Familiarity with ESXi VMware for server hosts.
- Dell Server hardware running VMware.
- Network design, upgrades, and refreshes – Ubiquiti preferred.
- Strong team player who enjoys a fast-paced atmosphere.
- Previous experience with ticketing applications (ConnectWise) and managed service applications (Ninja/ConnectWise) preferred.
- Experience with security technologies such as SentinelOne, DUO 2FA, Keeper, and Cisco Umbrella.
