System Administrator Tier 2.5 (MSP)

Our current opening is for a System Administrator Tier 2.5 (MSP) to join our Projects Team working alongside Senior Engineers. The System Administrator Tier 2.5 (MSP) will execute consistently on solving problems utilizing SMB and Enterprise technologies including but not limited to Servers, Networks, Cloud environments, and workstations.

System Administrator Tier 2.5 (MSP) Responsibilities:

  • Based on the size and/or type of project, you may be in a lead role working with junior resource(s) or working with a more senior Project Engineer.
  • Work with Project Design Desk resource(s) and other Project Engineer(s) to review and validate prospective
  • Project scope based on the “Working Knowledge” section above as well as knowledge of client-specific infrastructure environment.
  • Provide ad-hoc support and mentoring of more junior technical resources when needed via escalations, assistance, etc.
  • Create and/or update existing technical documentation during and after the project.

System Administrator Tier 2.5 (MSP) Projects Include:

  •  Implement Subtenant Network (clients wanting to lease out part of their space but provide secure internet – wired and wireless)
  • Implement VOIP Phone System (e.g., RingCentral)
  • Implement Server Refresh / Consolidation
  • Migrate server(s) to Hosted Cloud Environment (Azure, AWS)
  • Migrate Active Directory / Google Workspace to Hosted Azure Entra ID
  • Migrate application to Hosted Solution (e.g., QuickBooks, etc)
  • Consolidate / Split Microsoft 365 Tenants (for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures)
  • Implement UPS System – Servers, network devices, meeting client need for uptime, graceful shut-down/spin up, alerting, monitoring)
  • Implement Conference Room Solution (e.g., Logitech)
